Yes, the competitors need your help and support. We are currently in the process of applying to the IRS for the 501 (c) 3 Tax Exempt Status. Once this status is approved, your donation becomes tax deductible. What is the diffenrence between sponsoring and making a donation? A donation is a gift you make, without expecting any service in return. You may however make donations for a specific purpose. For example, you can write on a cheque that your donation has to be used for promoting kickboxing in a particular state, or for a particular age group of competitors, and we will do our best to accododate your wish. - You can also indicate whether you would like us to publish your donation along with your name, or whether prefer to remain incognito... Sponsoring is when you or your company pays money to be affiliated with the USKBF, either by having a link placed on our website, or by having your company name printed on the USKBF National Team Uniforms. An airline ticket from the US to Europe (in summer season) costs typically around $600-$800. Hotel accomodation, even if we put sometimes 3-4 competitors in one room, still costs $30-$50 per person/day. If you add up medical exams, insurance, starting fees and food, bringing a kid to the world championships easily adds up to $1000-$1500, not including the expenses for any parents travelling along. Meanwhile most of the parents look at their child's participation as a perfect oportunity for the long planned trip to Europe, some young talented competitors could never afford to travel along. The USKBF Advisory Board is willing to look at individual cases where a small financial contribution may enable a young competitor to participate in a world championship and represent the United States. We need your donation.
